I realized that I needed to modify both prompts by including more detailed guidelines for the discussion and the assignment. I wanted to include critical thinking in respect for classmates in the rubric but they were missing from the prompt itself. I also realized that I need to specify the length and quantity of the students’ Padlet posts in order to be able to measure their participation level according to certain expectations. 

The same issue arose for the assignment rubric. I realized that the first step of just identifying a topic/issue needed to also include a step that required them to conduct some research on the topic/issue since the third step only included research on the organization. They need some basic background knowledge first and the steps now flow better and will prepare the students more effectively. I also needed to specify how much research needs to be conducted in steps 2 and 4.

I amended the questions in the rubric assessments to reflect these changes.
